What would you do if you were given a sea kayak and a full day to explore the vast waters of Sandy Bay and the Otuwhero Inlet? Well, this Freedom Tour from Kahu Kayaks is your opportunity to find out. Equipped with everything you need for adventure, and given a comprehensive training briefing before you set off, your day will begin with you kayaking from Marahau, gliding through the tranquil waters of the beautiful Astrolabe Roadstead. Given the freedom to navigate at your leisure, you might want to watch for playful New Zealand fur seals and listen for the wonderful birdsong, ringing from the bush-clad Adele Island. There are plenty of nooks and crannies to explore along this stunning coastal paradise, so what are you waiting for?

Session Length
- This experience is one day in duration
- There are two safety briefing daily: 8:30 am and 10:30 am
- Kayaks must be returned by 4:00 pm
Restrictions
The minimum age for freedom kayaking is 14 years when travelling with an adult. Minimum of 2 participants is required.
Guidelines
- Moderate fitness required
- Double kayaks used unless group has uneven numbers
- A kayak guide will accompany you for the start of your sea kayak journey to help with kayak technique and give any final advice to make your adventure safe and fun
Cancellation
- Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
- Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
- Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
