If some birds are in care, you’ll also visit the Penguin Rehabilitation Centre to see rare Yellow-eyed penguins. The deeper you explore these conservation areas, the more you can appreciate New Zealand’s unique flora and fauna, as well as the dedicated efforts to preserve them. By joining this tour, you’ll experience the magic of the Otago Peninsula while actively supporting the restoration efforts that help protect it. This journey is an invitation to witness something truly remarkable, where nature, education and restoration unite.

Session Length

  • This experience is 2.5 hours in duration
  • Please check in 15 minutes prior to tour departure

Guidelines

  • Guests must be able to walk up to 3km (1.9mi) on uneven surfaces
  • The tour includes over 300 steps
  • May not be suitable for young children due to the tour's duration
  • Not suitable for individuals with impaired mobility, wheelchair users or prams
  • Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult

Cancellation

  • Change your booking up to 24 hours before the start time of your experience
  • Changes are not permitted within 24 hours of your experience
  • Late arrivals or no-shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
