Prepare for a day rich in culture and incredible scenery as you head on an adventure to Cape Reinga and 90 Mile Beach. You'll journey to the very top of the North Island and uncover the wild beauty of this vast and untouched region, on an action-packed full day return tour from Paihia or Kerikeri.
Embark on a journey to the northernmost tip of New Zealand on this full day tour departing Paihia. Board the tour bus nice and early at 7am, and set out towards the amazing Cape Reinga (also known as Te Rerenga Wairua in Maori), renowned for its grand and untouched level of beauty. Throughout your tour, you’ll be enlightened with a unique combination of Maori legends and traditional stories, intertwined with incredible scenery and landscapes, as you travel through the Puketi forest.
You’ll visit the iconic Cape Reinga Lighthouse before heading to the incredibly vast 90 Mile Beach. If you’re feeling adventurous, and with conditions permitting, have a go at sand boarding down the amazing natural sand dunes on the beach! You’ll also be treated to a delicious locally prepared lunch to keep you energised and fuelled for the day before heading back onto the bus for your journey back. This tour is an incredible way to get closer to New Zealand's beautifully untouched wilderness, and learn about the history and cultural significance of this region of the far north.
This tour departs at 7am and returns at 6.15pm (approximately 11hrs).
