Get ready to rumble in a custom-built 4WD during this thrilling off-roading experience in Gibbston. Geared up in all the protective clothing, you'll hold on tight as a professional driver tackles steep gullies, boulders and unbelievable angles in this monster machine.

The secret's out! New Zealand is one of the best off-road driving destinations in the world and now's your chance to get a taste for it in a custom-built 4WD. Upon arrival, you'll get kitted up in all your protective gear and helmet and be run through a comprehensive safety briefing, before being strapped into the four-wheeled beast. Your professional driver will take you around a specially-designed course, tackling gravity-defying climbs, steep gullies, boulders and unfathomable angles. Built by the New Zealand off-roader champion Dan Cowper, these 4WDs will take you on the ride of a lifetime.
Session Length
- Please allow one hour for this experience including a safety briefing and gear fitting. The ride itself is 15 minutes
- Available every 10 minutes from 8am daily (until 5pm in winter and 8pm in summer)
- Check in is 30 minutes prior to trip time
Restrictions
Pregnant women are unable to participate.
Guidelines
- Minimum height is 1.2m, maximum height is 2m
- Children under 10 must travel with a parent/guardian
- Those with neck and back injuries are able to particpante on a case-by-case basis. Please advise the provider at the time of booking
Cancellation
- Change your booking up to 24 hours before the start time of your experience
- Changes are not permitted within 24 hours of your experience
- Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
Dress Code
Wear comfortable clothing and enclosed shoes are essential. All protective and outerwear is provided.
