Tickets includes access to over 22 outdoor thermal pools and a family leisure area that includes four hydroslides, waterfalls and spouts for a joyous day out in the sun. Whether you are seeking relaxation or a family friendly activity for all ages, Hanmer Springs Thermal Pools and Spa ticks all the boxes and more.
Hanmer Springs Thermal Pools & Spa are open 7 days a week every day of the year except Christmas Day. A Single Entry ticket allows you to stay on the complex for as long as you like, however once you leave the complex your ticket session ends.
Spectators can enter the complex for $3.00, this gives them access to view all of our Outdoor Thermal Pools & Waterslides. On a Sunny day enjoy sitting on a sun lounger, or on a cooler day relax in the Tea Kiosk Cafe and Grill, warm up with a coffee and watch the swimmers while staying warm and dry.
Rain, shine, or even snow, whatever the weather, you can recline in one of New Zealand's finest hot pools, bask in the stunning alpine scenery, and simply unwind.
Appropriate swimwear is required to be worn at the Pools. Fitted leggings and t-shirts are appropriate but streetwear, denim, belts and baggy items are not to be worn in the pools for safety reasons.
The Hanmer Connection shuttle service travels to Hanmer Springs from Christchurch on a daily basis, departing Christchurch at 9am. The return trip to Christchurch leaves at 4.30pm. Car parking is available on the streets surrounding the Thermal Pools. Alternatively, you can leave your car at your accommodation as the pools are located within a 5-10 minute easy walk from most accommodations. Swimming costumes and towels are available for hire. $5 per item.
