Descend into an ancient stream flowing off Mount Karioi at sundown for a canyoning adventure like no other. As you climb and abseil the cascading waterfalls, you'll be guided by the light of your head torch and the thousands of luminous glowworms who decorate this small nook of the Waikato region.
At sunset, you will begin to descend into an ancient lava flow off Mount Karioi in the company of an experienced guide. As you climb and abseil into freshwater pools and cascading waterfalls, it will be hard to miss the beauty of the surrounding flora and fauna, and as darkness falls, you'll start to see the luminescent transformation take place. Be dazzled by the native New Zealand glowworms as abundant as stars on a clear night that envelop you, and take a moment to soak in the area's peacefulness with a hot cup of freshly-made Kawakawa tea. Throughout your journey, you will be entertained by stories, history and facts about the local area from your passionate guide, whilst having your photos taken.
