Become fully immersed in the Tasman's Great Taste Trail with this full day cycle tour. Your guide will curate a custom itinerary to suit your interests that may include stops at wineries, breweries and museums, while also experiencing the beauty of Nelson and Mapua, and everything in between!
Starting in Nelson, your personal guide will get a feel for your interests while fitting you with a bike and safety equipment. You might want to stop in at the World of Wearable Art exhibition and a host of local pubs, wineries and craft breweries along the way. They are great spots to relax, catch your breath and grab a bite to eat. After running you through the order of the day, you'll hop on your bike and head off towards Mapua on Tasman's 35km Great Taste Trail.
You will follow the blue Great Taste Trail markers out of Nelson City, following the old Railway Reserve cycle path on the way to Richmond. You may choose to savour a refreshing craft beer/lunch from Stoke or Eddyline Brewery before turning onto the coastal path, where there'll be a chance to taste award-winning wines at Te-Mania or Seifried wineries.
Following this, you'll enjoy some bird watching on the Waimea Estuary which is home to a range of internationally significant bird species including the white heron. The path then takes you across the Waimea Swing Bridge and on to Rabbit Island where you will board a ferry for a short scenic trip across the channel to Mapua. Make the most of your free time here by exploring the local galleries, restaurants, cafes, shops and the Golden Bear Brewery before being transported back to Nelson City.

We know the trust consumers place in ratings and reviews is tied directly to authenticity. That’s why we use Bazaarvoice.
