This full day walking tour through Mount Aspiring National Park is the perfect way to experience the picture-perfect landscapes New Zealand is known for, walking at a relaxed pace. Getting out to the track is easy, with transfers directly from Queenstown. On your drive you will enjoy the picturesque scenery of Glenorchy and the idyllic Lake Wakatipu, arriving at the National Park, ready for your nature walk along Routeburn Trail.

The path is smooth and flat, meaning this tour is a great way for hiking beginners or families. The track follows the Routeburn River as it roars through a magnificent gorge before plunging beneath the rocks. The trail gradually ascends through a 130 million year old magical world of ferns, mosses, lichen and beech forest. On the way, learn about the historical significance of the Routeburn Track and how it was used by Maori and European pioneers. Photo opportunities abound, you will be astounded by the expanse of these natural landscapes and the charming native birds you'll be able to spot in their natural habitats.

      • Minimum 2 people are required for this tour to go ahead. If minimum numbers are not met, the operator has the right to cancel the tour.
