Plunge into the depths of the Hauraki Gulf and enjoy an exhilarating full day spearfishing charter! Spearfishing is one of the fastest growing water-sports in New Zealand, and if you enjoy the thrill of the chase, you will quickly discover why. Once you've geared up and descended into the water, you'll become addicted to the chase as you get up close to a variety of fish like kingies, snapper and more. With good luck on your side, you may catch a few to take home. They'll taste that much better considering how hard you worked for them! Experienced divers can opt for great depths for the really big catches, and those less experienced can choose shallower reefs. This spearfishing charter is to Kawau Island for those who are less experienced, but we do offer alternative destinations for those who are more experienced, please contact us for more information. Charters are an all day event from our dedicated boat. This is a dedicated freediving style charter only.
Minimum age to participate is 13 years. Children aged 13-17 years old must be accompanied by an adult. Not suitable if you are pregnant.
A minimum of four people are required for the charter to proceed. If the minimum isn't met you'll be offered a different date/experience.
This trip may be cancelled in the event of thunderstorms, strong winds and swell. In this case, the supplier will reschedule your experience (refunds will not be given).
Please bring closed in shoes, warm clothing (layers are advised as the temperature can change rapidly), wet weather gear in the case of rain, sunglasses, sunscreen and sun hat.
This experience departs from Warkworth, approximately 70km north of Auckland.
