Sample some of New Zealand's finest wines on this Waiheke Island wine tour and tasting, an indulgent day out only minutes from Auckland City! On this tour, you will visit three of Waiheke's top vineyards and sample a range of their wines with a local guide.

Known as New Zealand Island of Wine, Waiheke has become home to a dedicated group of award-winning wine producers. With a unique micro-climate and the winemakers philosophy of “small is beautiful", Waiheke has produced some of New Zealand's most prestigious wines. On this tour, you will visit three of Waiheke's top vineyards and sample a range of their wines. Along the way enjoy a commentated scenic drive, learning about the Island's history, geography, people and culture from your knowledgeable local guide. After your wine tasting experience sit back, relax and enjoy a lunch and a glass of Waiheke wine or beer at a local favorite before heading back to the ferry or your Island accommodation.
There will be a stop for lunch at a local favourite (and award winning) beachside restaurant - or local vineyard when not available.
You will then be picked up and transported back in time for the afternoon ferry to Auckland.
You are sure to enjoy an amazing day of superb wines, all to be enjoyed by spectacular scenery!
Session Length
- Catch the Fullers ferry which departs Auckland at 10am
- You will be returned to the Matiatia Wharf return ferry at 4:00pm to arrive back in Auckland at 4.45pm or let the guide know on the day and you can be dropped off in Oneroa Village.
- This experience operates every day except Christmas Day, Good Friday and Easter Sunday subject to availability
Guidelines
You must be over 18 to participate in the wine tastings.
Cancellation
- Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
- Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
- Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

This tour runs with a maximum of 18 people.
Weather
Runs in all weather. If ferries are cancelled then we are happy to rescheduled.
Dress Code
Please wear casual, comfortable clothing, with flat soled shoes for walking through the vineyards.

You can purchase the ferry ticket on the day of the experience (please note this is at your own cost). We adhere to all applicable recommendations according to the NZ alert level system.
This experience takes place on Waiheke Island, approximately a 35 minute ferry ride from Auckland.
